December Travel Guide to Lake Oconee

November 16, 2022

Signs of the season can be seen all around Greensboro, Georgia. With a charming main street strung with lights, friendly shops brimming with cheer, and the smell of gingerbread wafting from The Ritz-Carlton lobby. Scroll below to discover our December Travel Guide to Lake Oconee.

Where we’re eating & drinking:

Breakfast with Santa at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee: Saturday, December 17 and Friday, December 23, 2022 with seatings at 9 and 11 a.m.

Children of all ages will delight in Breakfast with Santa, where your child’s wish list can be shared with him personally. Young guests will enjoy a breakfast buffet featuring miniature pancakes, muffins, waffles and other pint-sized breakfast items while also savoring traditional brunch favorites.

Sipping in a winter wonderland at PJ’s Coffee: warm up with a seasonal beverage from PJ’s. Peppermint Bark Velvet Ice & Latte,  Butter Rum Latte, and Cookie Dough Oat Milk Latte are some of the drinks you can sip on by the fire.

Oconee Brewing Company: Our favorite craft brewery! In December, they will brew a milk stout. It will have some roasted barley and slight chocolate notes and a bit of sweetness, a very smooth stout overall. They’ll also do some fun varieties of that stout…a peppermint stout, a peanut butter stout, and a coffee stout.

The Yesterday Cafe: If you’re looking for the perfect dessert to take to your holiday gathering, look no further than the Buttermilk Pie at The Yesterday Cafe in Downtown Greensboro. You can buy a whole pie and be the hit of the party!
