Fall Fun at Lake Oconee

October 13, 2017

Fall at Lake Oconee is finally here. We’re so excited for cooler weather, pumpkins galore, football, and family fun! We’ve gathered up a few of our favorite things to do around Lake Oconee and Greensboro during autumn. Check out these fun activities below!

Camping

Autumn is the perfect season to spend the night under the stars! The KOA in Greensboro features club cars, box cars and cabooses that you can stay the night in. A 4,000-square-foot clubhouse, two swimming pools and a white sandy beach make this the perfect spot for your next family reunion!

Durhamtown Off Road Resort

Enjoy trail riding, racing, hunting, camping and more at Durhamtown Off Road Resort! They offer cabin rentals, tent camping and RV sites to meet every family’s camping needs. Make this fall a little more exciting by taking a trip to Durhamtown!

Lakeside Church Pumpkin Patch

You are invited to come and see the Lakeside Church Pumpkin Patch, October 9-31. Come and purchase your family pumpkin and fall decorations at Lakeside Church! The patch will be open daily with special events happening throughout the month.

Taste N Jam

Join the Greene County Chamber of Commerce on October 23rd for the Taste N Jam! Located in downtown Greensboro, there will be sample tastings from local food vendors and music from the Jake Bartley Band. This evening will be one to remember!

Halloween at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee

Saturday, October 28th is packed with Halloween fun for guests staying at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee. The day starts at 1pm with The Great Pumpkin Carving and Creepy Candy Creating. At 5pm there will be a Costume Parade and Trick or Treating on the Spooktacular Linger Longer Express. From 6 to 7 pm are the Happy Haunted Hayrides where haunted tales of Halloween past are told as guests make their way around the property. The fun doesn’t stop there. Gather around the campfire at 8pm for S’mores, Spooky Stories and Songs.

Downtown Greensboro Trick or Treat

Little ghouls and goblins are invited to trick or treat in Downtown Greensboro! Merchants, most in costume, will hand out candy to the trick or treaters. Kids will be given an official trick or treat bag to carry as they head through the town. Join in the Halloween fun!
