Owners Derek and Kari Beth Chitwood opened the first Empire South in Watkinsville, GA in May of 2013. With a vision to provide local residents of Oconee County with quality clothing, the couple has continued to nurture and refine the store’s offerings. Combining forward style and affordable, practical trends, the Chitwoods have built a brand that epitomizes who they are, and now with 4 locations (Watkinsville, Athens, Lake Oconee and Hartwell) Empire South is a favorite for men and women across Georgia and the southeast.
