Make a trip to Greensboro, Ga. for one of our signature events at Lake Oconee. Every month there are things to do at Lake Oconee for you and your family, a date night, or a fun time with friends. Children will enjoy our many events at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, and summer events at Lake Oconee help to beat the heat. Georgia’s Lake country is located only an hour from Atlanta, and is convenient for most of middle Georgia. Get out of town and drive on down to Greensboro, Georgia for a weekend to enjoy one of our concerts, tasting events or car shows. Be sure to catch our favorite Christmas treat, the December promenade.

All aboard The Linger Longer Express! Explore the grounds of The Ritz-Carlton Lodge with a ten minute tour of the property in our very own Linger Longer Express train which departs from the front drive daily. Reservations are recommended.

Wayside Ladies Speak
Union Point
May 18, 2 p.m.
During the Civil War, fourteen ladies operated a Wayside Home. These gracious Southerners gave comfort and medical care to thousands of soldiers passing through Union Point, Georgia by train and foot. When the location became full to over-flowing, the ladies and their families opened their homes for the cause. Three of these homes still stand. Come and listen to the ladies of Wayside tell of their days during the war.

This band was featured on the TV show America's Got Talent. July 6, 2 p.m. - Free Concert; 5 p.m. - Concert Gates Open; 6 p.m. - Concert Begins
Join OPAS at Lake Oconee Village for a fun filled day celebrating our nation’s independence. The day will begin a 2:00PM with a free concert with Tim Cadiere & The Creole Band along with fun family activities such as a rock climbing wall, bounce houses, dunking booth, face painting and more. So bring the kids and enjoy great music and activities that are sure to please the kids.
Then at 5:00PM the gates will open to the concert area located at the Village Meadow. The Kinchafoonee Cowboys will kick off the night beginning at 6:00PM with a high-energy performance that will surely get you dancing! At 8:30PM Hotel California, A Salute to the Eagles will take the stage for a spectacular performance of all your favorite Eagles’ hits.
Afternoon performance and activities are free to the public. Evening concert is ticketed (prices include both bands). Note: Children 6 and under are free, however a complimentary ticket will be required for admission.
